Had my dental surgery yesterday. 4 teeth gone from my mouth now, 2 needing stitches. Pain isn't much so far. Probably because of the painkillers. Don't like the sensation of the stitches pulling every time I swallow though. Going on a diet of ice cream and cold porridge, mostly ice cream. Makes me look forward to the day the stitches are gone so I can swallow easy.

On a side note, saved 100+ pictures from Taiwan. Not sure where to upload so people can see though.

Third Saturday in two months I'll have overtime work. All because of some newfangled filing system.

And so, I'm joining the bandwagon and also making a post about this scandal that recently appeared on the local cosplay community.

To summarize: There's a certain Mr. I'm-too-good-for-everyone-else,-bow-to-my-greatness who posted a cosplay picture of a 17 (seventeen) year old girl, a minor by Philippine law, in an adult-oriented forum. As in a forum for a magazine that features scantily clad ladies on its covers.

As soon as the local cosplay community got hold of this, a forum war started with angry cosplayers demanding an apology from Mr. I-do-everything-right who has only the lamest excuses for his actions.

And as of writing, he has not given any sort of apology and is simply acting like nothing has happened.

Finally, I'd like to throw back one saying of his - his comment on another friend's LJ: "The Web raises the bar for customer service. It's time ________, an online business, learned that."
It's time he learned that it goes both ways.

Yesterday, I had to wake up a mite early to visit my late grandfather. I don't really mind since it's another chance to meet up with two of my cousins. Anyway, as I was chatting, it occured to me how there was a stronger sense of community in my father side of the family than on my mother side. Sure, the mother side gets together more often and cracks that much more jokes but somehow, I thought the father side was more closely knit. For one thing, when a reunion comes along at my place the mother side stay in the 'party-room' with the boys going upstairs to goggle over the comp or watch a dvd while the father side spreads out into the house. *scratch scratch* Just a thought, that's all.
I went shopping with my sis yesterday too. Bought a couple of new blouses, an embosser tool for papier toleing, and a little something I thought was nice.

My bro suspects a virus in the other comp. It keeps reseting by itself.
Finished the Saiyuki tole yesterday. Sent it to be framed more or less today.
Had another 'field trip' with my guildmates last night too. Some of our old guildmates came back so there's a reason for rejoicing.
Was inspired for a vignette for one of my original stories. May or may not work on that by tonight.
Gonna have dinner outside tonight. A friend of my parents' is treating.
